Th17 Lymphocytes Induce Neuronal Cell Death in a Human iPSC-Based Model of Parkinson’s Disease

Th17 Lymphocytes Induce Neuronal Cell Death in a Human iPSC-Based Model of Parkinson’s Disease

Cell Stem Cell

Our manuscript analyzing the interplay of human neurons and T-cells in sporadic Parkinson disease in an autologous culture system is out in Cell Stem Cell!

This was Annika's PhD work and an amazing collaboration with Jürgen Winkler, Markus Riemenschneider, Rusty Gage, Gene Yeo, Wei Xiang and the rest of the folks! Thanks so much to everyone here in Erlangen, Regensburg and La Jolla to make this work possible.

Also, John R. Lukens wrote a very nice story about our work: Th17 Cells in Parkinson’s Disease: The Bane of the Midbrain
